This project involves the renovation of a coffee shop and kitchen at 11911 San Vicente Boulevard, Los Angeles, California. The remodeled areas include the kitchen, public café, storage, and outdoor dining spaces, with design updates to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The existing electrical utility is assumed sufficient for the renovation, and the total tenant area is approximately 1,800 sf.
Electrical Engineering
Scope includes site observation and evaluation of existing electrical equipment and system capacity to determine the need for additional panels or transformers. Interior electrical design includes lighting circuiting plans (layouts by Lighting Consultant), Title 24 lighting control diagrams, state lighting energy compliance calculations, emergency egress lighting layout and photometric calculations, power circuit plans for kitchen, mechanical, and plumbing systems (power layouts provided by Food Service Consultant), low-voltage conduit coordination, and single-line diagrams. Normal condition photometric calculations are excluded.
Mechanical Engineering
Services include site observation, design of new HVAC equipment (including supply/exhaust fans), kitchen grease exhaust, modifications to existing supply mains as needed for restaurant ceiling design, and new air distribution for dining and kitchen areas. State mechanical energy compliance calculations and forms are provided.
Plumbing Engineering
Scope includes site observation, evaluation of existing plumbing capacity and connection points, design of new grease trap/interceptor, HVAC condensate drainage, and plumbing riser diagrams as needed.
