Quick response, accurate, professional.
The team has been helpful not only in design but also during construction. The response and communications have been good and prompt. We appreciate Tamara and Bassam being very quick in responding to RFIs, especially during construction when things are moving very rapidly.
Electrical engineering for the USC Generator Study focuses on evaluating the existing emergency generator system serving Building HC4 at 1450 San Pablo Street in Los Angeles, California.
The study includes an on-site survey of the existing emergency power system, review of available record and as-built drawings, and collaboration with the Building Engineer to understand current system operations.
Lam + Tea Engineering will evaluate the generator’s existing load capacity, document the emergency electrical distribution system, and provide recommendations to help inform future investigations and potential load shedding opportunities.
The engineering study begins with a field survey of the existing emergency generator system and a review of available record documentation. Existing operations will be discussed with the Building Engineer to develop a clearer understanding of how the emergency power system currently serves the facility.
Using available record drawings and calculations, the engineering team will evaluate and calculate existing generator load capacities.
The study will also include an updated CAD single-line diagram of the emergency electrical system based on available record information, along with a survey report summarizing findings and recommendations for future investigation and potential load shedding strategies.
