A 39,000-square-foot upper school campus within a dense urban environment in Southern California. The project establishes a prototype for integrating educational facilities into constrained sites while maintaining high-quality learning environments.
This multi-story educational facility combines academic, recreational, and specialty spaces, requiring a coordinated MEP engineering approach to support diverse program needs within a compact footprint.
MEP engineering design supports a four-story school building with below-grade parking, including classrooms for grades 4 through 6, a semi-circular library, a multi-purpose gymnasium/auditorium, and specialty classrooms for music, art, science, and computers.
The project also includes elements of campus-wide master planning, including renovation and reconfiguration of existing facilities, as well as integration of new buildings on adjacent sites. The scope required coordination of HVAC design, electrical design, and plumbing design to support varied educational uses while adapting to tight site constraints and vertical building conditions.
