This project involves a new retail building with three levels of underground parking located at 6424 Selma Avenue in Los Angeles, California. The original engineer of record, FISKAA Engineering, did not complete the mechanical plan check for the redesign, resulting in outstanding correction items that prevented mechanical inspection approval. Lam+Tea Engineering was engaged to provide the required mechanical engineering services to address corrections and obtain final city sign-off for the mechanical work.
Mechanical Engineering Scope
Services include a full review of existing mechanical drawings for compliance with California and City of Los Angeles Mechanical Codes, field verification of as-built conditions, and preparation of updated mechanical drawings for plan check submittal. The scope also covers responding to plan check corrections with written narratives, revising drawings as required, obtaining plan check approval, and coordinating with the city inspector to secure final mechanical sign-off.
