Project Overview
This project involves the construction of a new 17,600 sq. ft., single-story prefabricated Butler building on the NBC Universal lot, replacing the existing B7234 storage barn. The new facility will feature full heating and cooling systems, a modern dust collection system, and code-compliant restrooms, providing a functional, efficient, and safe environment. Designed with both operational performance and long-term durability in mind, the building will seamlessly integrate into the existing campus while meeting all current building standards and occupant needs.
Project Scope
Mechanical Engineering:
Mechanical engineering services for this project focus on delivering a fully integrated and efficient HVAC system for the new 17,600 sq. ft. Butler building. The scope includes air conditioning and heating systems, a dedicated dust collection system, and a toilet exhaust system, ensuring optimal indoor air quality, comfort, and code compliance throughout the facility.
Electrical Engineering:
Electrical engineering services encompass a complete design of the building’s electrical infrastructure. This includes a new service fed from the existing site distribution, interior and exterior lighting, power distribution to all equipment and receptacles, and empty conduit systems for telephone and security. Outlet locations and utility requirements provided by others are incorporated into the contract documents, ensuring a coordinated, safe, and reliable electrical system.
Plumbing Engineering:
Plumbing engineering services provide a comprehensive design for all building water, gas, and drainage systems. The scope includes building storm drainage, hot and cold water systems, sanitary drainage, AC condensate drains, and a natural gas system. These designs ensure efficient, code-compliant operation while supporting the functional needs of the new Butler building.
