The team has been helpful not only in design but also during construction. The response and communications have been good and prompt. We appreciate Tamara and Bassam being very quick in responding to RFIs, especially during construction when things are moving very rapidly.
MEP engineering for the 12020 Burbank Boulevard Chiller Plant Replacement project supports the modernization of an existing central cooling plant serving a commercial facility in Los Angeles, California. The project replaces aging mechanical equipment with upgraded high-performance systems while improving plant controls, operational efficiency, and long-term reliability.
The existing plant consists of two 100-ton Carrier chillers and cooling towers with a combined 160-ton cooling capacity. The modernization introduces new chillers, cooling towers, pumps, variable frequency drives (VFDs), upgraded Building Management System (BMS) controls, and associated electrical improvements to support the new equipment.
MEP engineering services include mechanical design for the replacement of major central plant equipment and modernization of associated building systems. The project encompasses the design and coordination of new chillers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, BMS integration, and electrical infrastructure modifications required to support the upgraded mechanical equipment.
Engineering efforts focus on improving system performance, energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and centralized operational control while integrating the new plant with the existing facility.
Architects rely on our central plant expertise because we deliver coordinated MEP systems that improve building performance while minimizing impacts on occupied facilities.
We serve as a collaborative MEP consultant, helping architects deliver efficient, constructable, code-compliant infrastructure modernization projects.
