This project involves selective interior renovations to an existing restaurant’s bar and dining areas within a single-story commercial building at 2501 Colorado, Santa Monica, California. The work focuses primarily on enhancing guest and support spaces, while the main kitchen and bar will remain largely unchanged, aside from minor plumbing modifications to accommodate bar equipment. Our scope includes the design of power, lighting, HVAC, and plumbing systems, utilizing existing utility services with no anticipated service upgrades.
Electrical Design Summary
The electrical scope includes a full interior power and lighting design based on existing site conditions and system capacity. Services cover electrical load evaluation, complete power distribution planning, emergency egress lighting, Title 24 lighting control intent, and energy compliance documentation. Coordination with the Lighting and Food Service Consultants is included for fixture layouts and equipment power needs, along with provisions for low-voltage pathways and a single-line diagram.
Mechanical Design Summary
Mechanical services involve reviewing existing site conditions and modifying the HVAC duct distribution for the dining and bar areas as needed. The design includes required state mechanical energy compliance forms to ensure system efficiency and regulatory conformity.
Plumbing Design Summary
The plumbing scope includes on-site assessment of existing water and waste systems to confirm capacity and connection points. Services cover plumbing adjustments for the bar, HVAC condensate drainage provisions, and preparation of required single-line diagrams to support Health Department plan check submissions.
