This project involved the thorough documentation of the as-built (existing) conditions for a 5,500-square-foot space. The documentation was prepared for submission to the City to obtain the necessary permits and approvals. To ensure compliance with current regulations, design updates were incorporated into the documents to address any Code deficiencies identified during the review process.
Electrical Engineering
The electrical design scope included reviewing available as-built drawings, observing existing site conditions, and documenting the interior electrical system. Key deliverables included lighting circuiting plans, lighting control diagrams per Title 24, emergency egress lighting layouts with photometric calculations, power circuit plans, single-line diagrams, and voltage drop/short-circuit calculations. Fixture layouts and lighting design services were provided by the Architect and lighting manufacturers.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering services focused on documenting existing site conditions and air distribution systems. This included layouts for supply and return diffusers and preparation of mechanical energy compliance calculations and forms as required.
Plumbing Engineering
Plumbing design services involved reviewing as-built drawings and site conditions, and documenting plumbing fixtures for pantries and restrooms.
