This project involves upgrading the ground-floor electrical service in an existing 2-story, 39,000 sf commercial building. With the original overhead service removed to accommodate future development, part of the ground floor is currently unpowered and unoccupied. The scope includes restoring power to the ground floor for immediate leasing, while the remaining first-floor retail space is planned for restaurant use.
Electrical Engineering
Services include the design of a new power feed to the vacant first-floor retail space using the existing 120/240 V, 3-phase underground service. Work includes coordination with the switchgear manufacturer to modify the main distribution board for a larger fused disconnect or bus tap, sizing and locating new electrical equipment, and preparation of electrical drawings including single-line diagrams and updated electrical room layouts for plan check and bidding.
